AI/ML Engineer — Careers at UX Factory

We design edge AI chips, and we build the AI systems that make chip design faster and smarter. As an AI/ML Engineer you will develop, test, and deploy the ML models and LLM-based tools we use internally and ship externally. We are looking for technical talent with a strong attitude and clear communication — you do not need hardware or semiconductor knowledge on day one, and you will grow by working alongside domain experts.

Level: MS in a relevant field, or BS plus 2 or more years of relevant experience.
Military service: 전문연구요원 (research personnel for alternative military service) supported.

What you will do

Develop, test, and deploy AI/ML models end to end.
Build and operate the supporting infrastructure — training, serving, and data pipelines.
Work with (S)LLMs and VLMs: fine-tuning, evaluation, and integration into products and internal infrastructure.
Build automation and context-aware tooling — agents, RAG, and internal developer tools.
Apply ML and optimization techniques to chip design workflows. Hardware knowledge is not required; domain experts will guide you.

What we look for

Integrity and a proactive attitude: take ownership and follow through.
Communication skills: explain complex concepts clearly, starting with the core idea and the problem before the technical detail.
Solid programming skill in Python or another scripting language, used as a daily working tool.
Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics — linear algebra, probability, optimization.
Degree: MS in a relevant field, or BS plus 2 or more years of relevant experience.
Language: proficient English, or proficient Korean with working-level English.
The interview covers ML theory and live coding, tailored to your background.

Nice to have

Degree or strong background in electrical/electronics engineering, computer science, mathematics/statistics, or industrial engineering.
Hands-on data science experience: data processing, modeling, and analysis on real datasets, including presenting the results.
Knowledge of semiconductors or hardware design.
Strong English proficiency.

AI/ML 모델의 개발, 테스트, 배포 전 과정 수행
학습 / 서빙 / 데이터 파이프라인 등 IT 인프라 구축 및 운영
(S)LLM, VLM 활용: 파인튜닝, 평가, 제품 및 사내 인프라 통합
자동화 및 컨텍스트 기반 툴링 개발 (에이전트, RAG, 사내 개발 도구)
칩 설계 워크플로우에 ML 및 최적화 기법 적용 (하드웨어 도메인 전문가와 협업)

자격 요건

성실함과 적극적인 태도: 주도적으로 일하고 끝까지 마무리하는 자세
커뮤니케이션 능력: 복잡한 개념과 문제를 명확하게 설명 (핵심 개념과 문제를 먼저, 기술적인 세부 사항은 그 다음에)
Python 또는 기타 스크립트 언어를 일상 업무 도구로 능숙하게 사용
수학 / 통계 지식 (선형대수, 확률, 최적화 등)
학위: 관련 분야 석사, 또는 학사 + 관련 경력 2년 이상
어학: 한국어 능통 + 업무 가능 수준의 영어, 또는 영어 능통
면접은 지원자의 배경에 맞춰 ML/AI 이론과 실시간 코딩을 다룰 수 있습니다.

우대 사항

전기/전자공학, 컴퓨터공학, 수학/통계, 산업공학 전공 또는 이에 준하는 배경
실제 데이터셋 기반의 데이터 사이언스 실무 경험 (데이터 처리, 모델링, 분석, 결과 발표 포함)
반도체 또는 하드웨어 설계 지식 보유 시 우대
